Bubblewrap is a pliable transparent plastic material commonly used for packing fragile items. Regularly spaced, protruding air-filled bubbles provide cushioning for precious or breakable items.

The General Packaging Company supplies three basic grades of Bubblewrap Lightweight, Standard weight and Heavyweight, which in turn are available with small bubbles or large bubbles.

Supplied per bundle in the available cuts:

Lightweight - Bundle width 1500mm x 100mtrs length

For lightweight, less fragile products with short, predictable distribution cycles. Popular and economic for general wrapping and cushioning.

Small Surface Protection and/or Interleaving
Large Void fill for lightweight, less fragile products

Standard Weight - Bundle width 1500mm x 50mtrs length

For light to medium weight, less fragile product with short or predictable distribution cycles. For products requiring surface protection, interleaving, cushioning and voidfill.

Size Suggested Uses
Small Cushioning of light to medium weight products.
Large General purpose cushioning and/or void fill.

Heavyweight - Bundle width 1500mm x 50mtrs length

For heavy, fragile or valuable products with long or unpredictable distribution cycles, for products with high psi loadings, for products that need secure blocking and bracing.

Small Interleaving and/or surface protection
Large Multi-purpose cushioning applications, fragile products, small appliances.

Antistatic Bubblewrap

Available in medium weight grades, antistatic is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic devices from both physical damage and from the effect of static electricity.

Bubblemask

Self adhesive bubblemask provides superior surface protection and resistance to abrasives. It is quick and easy to apply and remove and can be re-used. Available in small bubble only.

Bubblebags

The quickest and easiest way to protect and cushion small delicate products.
Antistatic bubblebags are designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic devices from both physical damage and from the effect of static electricity. All bags are made to standard grade using small bubbles.

Made to Measure Bubblebags

If you have an awkwardly shaped object which won't fit and of the standard Bubblebags, ask about are made to measure service .

Cellaire - Protective Foam Wrapping

A clean lightweight polyethylene wrapping designed for surface protection.
Cellaire foam absorbs knocks and scuffs, protecting your product during transit and provides non abrasive, non corrosive protection for delicate surface finishes.
It is lightweight and flexible for fast, easy packing. It is also dust and lint free, moisture resistant and can be re-used. Cellaire is manufactured from CFC free and HCFC free processes and can ultimately be recycled with other polyethylene materials.
